The 4 day Golden Ring of Russia tour.


Day 1.

8.00 Meeting your guide at your hotel in Moscow. Driving to Vladimir (200 km)

11.30 The tour of Vladimir - the old capital of Russia. The Golden Gate built as the main entrance to the city in 1164, the cathedral of the Assumption  - the prototype of the Moscow Kremlin cathedral, the church of St Demetrius with 1500 carvings on the stone walls.

13.30 Lunch break.

14.30 Driving to Suzdal.

15.30 The tour of Suzdal - the little town with 10000 people only. It is full of the traditional Russian log cabins where the people still stay. The museum of the wooden architecture and peasant life. The convent of the Intercession - the former place for exile of the ex-wives of the Moscow Tsars. The Kremlin (fort)  of Suzdal.

18.30 Check in the hotel in Suzdal (not included, I can help you with choosing a hotel).


Day 2.

8.30 Driving to Plyos.

10.30 The town of Plyos with 2000 people staying there was always the main attraction for the Russian artists. The best landscapes were made here. “The Russian Switzerland” on the Volga river.

13.00 Lunch break in Kostroma.

14.00 The tour of Kostroma - the old town of merchants on the Volga river. The Ipatiev monastery - the beginning of the Romanov Royal family.

17.00 Driving to Yaroslavl to check in the hotel.

18.30 Free time in Yaroslavl.


Day 3. 

9.30 The tour of Yaroslavl - once the second richest city of Russia after Moscow. The Volga embankment. The church of Elijah the prophet, the John the Baptist church, depicted on the 1000 Russian Rubles bill. Lunch break. For lunch we may pick the restaurant where they still cook in the traditional Russian stove. 

The walk to the place of the confluence of the small local river and the Volga river. The cathedral of the Assumption. The Stalin Era secular architecture. The second night at the same hotel.


Day 4.

8.30 Driving to Rostov the Great.

9.30 The tour of the Rostov Kremlin and the museum of the local craft - the enamel production.

11.30 Pereslavl Zalesskiy with the oldest cathedral in the north east of Russia built in 1152 (the short tour).

13.00 Lunch.

14.00 Sergiev Posad. The tour of the Holy Trinity monastery (Lavra) often referred as the “Russian Vatican”. One of the most impressive places in Russia even for the absolutely not religious people.

16.00 Driving to Moscow. Arrival approximately at 18.30.


The price for a group of 2 people is 110000 Rubles Russian.
