9.30 AM. You get on the train departing from the Kurskiy train station (Moscow) to the city of Vladimir.
It is possible to purchase the train tickets online in advance. The high speed train called “Lastochka” is quite new and comfortable.
11.14 AM Your English-speaking licensed guide meets you at the train station of Vladimir. You see him right at the train carriage with your name sign.
Your private air conditioned vehicle (a mid size SUV for your group of 1-4 or a minivan for a bigger group) waits for you at the train station.
11.30 We drive to Suzdal - the small traditional town of 10 thousand people only. It still keeps the atmosphere of the real Russian countryside.
During our city tour we visit:
the museum of the wooden architecture and peasant life, which is like the heritage village, where we enter the old wooden church and the log cabin of the Russian peasant, see the waterwells and the windmills, your guide tells you about the traditional life in Russia.
the Kremlin of Suzdal - the old fort with the main cathedral of the town built in the early 13th century and inscribed into the World Heritage list by UNESCO.
the Intercession of the Virgin convent - the former place of the exile of the ex-wives of the Moscow Tsars.
we see the little local market and the small side streets full of traditional bright Russian houses.
14.00 After the tour we have our lunch at one of the traditional Russian cuisine restaurants (not included).
15.00 We drive back to Vladimir - the old town, once the capital of Russia
During the city tour of Vladimir we see:
the Golden Gate of Vladimir - the old medieval tower, the part of the old fort
the church of St Demetrius - known for a lot of the unique limestone reliefs
the cathedral of the Assumption - one of the UNESCO sights
17.30 Arrival to the Vladimir train station. Your guide helps you to get on the train back to Moscow at 17.59.
